Bar Mitzvah Medal
A Jewish boy attaining the age of 13 is deemed to be an adult. It is traditional to mark the occasion at a public ceremony ending in an appropriate feast in honor of the land. The “Bar Mitzvah” medal was issued on the 13th Anniversary of the State of Israel

A boy putting on his “Tefilin” and “Talith” - phylacteries and the Prayer Shawl on his arm, is reading from the Torah (Book of the Law). Inscription “At 13 for the fulfillment of the mitzvoth” (Ethics of the Fathers)
Reverse
The State emblem and the emblems of the twelve Tribes of Israel.
Lettering:
“Thirteen Years of the State of Israel” in Hebrew and “Bar Mitzvah of the State of Israel” in English.
