Compliance System
The Printing Works Department (IETA) - National Mint is committed to delivering high-quality security printing and minting products. Τo this end, it implements the industry’s best available practices, uses state-of-the-art equipment and employs highly qualified and experienced personnel.
Moreover, rigorous visual checks and laboratory quality controls are performed at every stage of the production process, from incoming raw materials to the finished product, in accordance with the most updated international standards and specifications.
The National Mint (IETA) implements an Integrated Compliance System and has been certified according to the following ISO Standards:

You may report any violations related to the above issues to the Bank of Greece’s Compliance Unit in the following ways:
- Submit a named or anonymous internal report electronically to the email address whistleblowing@bankofgreece.gr .
- Send a named or anonymous internal report by mail to the Compliance Unit (21 El. Venizelou St., Athens, 10250). To best and most effectively ensure confidentiality, it is recommended to use double envelopes as follows: the internal report is placed in an envelope marked “CONFIDENTIAL – Attention: Secretariat of the Officer Responsible for Receiving and Monitoring Reports (O.R.M.R.)”. This envelope is placed inside an outer envelope addressed to the Regulatory Compliance Unit (21 El. Venizelou St., Athens, 10250).
- Contact, either by telephone (210-3202343) or through a personal meeting with the Officer Responsible for Receiving and Follow-up on Reports (O.R.M.R.) upon the reporter’s request. To schedule the meeting, the reporter must contact the O.R.M.R. Secretariat (tel.: 210-3203348 and 210-3202605).
- Call 210-3204054 for a named or anonymous internal report via a voice message system. Please note that reports submitted via this voice message system are recorded in a permanent and retrievable format.
